Mindfulness Meditation

EVENING Meditation for the Body, Heart and Mind

534 B Street in Santa Rosa

Thursday Evenings 7:00–8:30 pm

Mindfulness is a practice of simply being awake in the present moment to the experience of life as it occurs, anchoring attention through awareness of breath and body, and bringing an attitude of curiosity, compassion, and acceptance to whatever arises. From ancient times, spiritual and healing traditions around the world have taught the value of living with this kind of presence. Today modern science, medicine and psychology are beginning to understand its importance in promoting health and living a satisfying life.

These evenings of mindfulness are offered for both beginners and seasoned meditators.

Fee by Donation. Any amount will be gratefully received.

THE WHISPER OF SILENCE

Listening to the Inner Sound

with Catherine Flaxman

An Ongoing Sitting Group in Mill Valley
Tuesday Evenings  6:45-8:15 p.m.

Integrating Buddhist and non-dual perspectives with mindfulness practices, we will explore the egoic self and the seduction of thought—how to work with it, how to become free of it, and how to listen to the whisper of silence and vibratory sound within.  Beyond the roar of the ego, we can open to deeper levels of trust and gratitude, strengthen the courage to love and experience the grace that sustains every breath.

The Sound has been referred to as Logos, The Word, The Guest, The Wine and The Comforter. Opening to the inner sound is deeply restful and healing. No striving, no goals, no need to believe in a particular philosophy or spiritual tradition.

Suitable for beginning and experienced meditators. You are most welcome to try it out and see if it’s a fit for you. No charge. Dana (donation) only.

Contact: catherine.flaxman1@gmail.com  (415) 389-8633 for location and directions.

“Silence vibrating is Creation

Silence flowing is Love

Silence allowed is Rest

Silence breathing is Recognition

Silence remembered is Home”…Anonymous
