William “Bill” Ahern, PhD
October 29, 1953 - December 2, 2023
Sadly, Bill’s struggle with multiple cancers ended this month. Bill was a beloved Lomi Therapist, and a dedicated Lomi Board Member. He shared himself with all who knew him and brought his skills of trauma therapy to all, clients and staff. Bill said, “I sometimes feel that a significant part of Lomi has rubbed off on me, after all we are survivors and will never let adversity get the best of us.” His positive, fighting spirit touched and inspired all of us. He said, “Sometimes I wonder what things would be like if I was never exposed to radiation, and how my life might be. Who knows, I might have been working at Lomi as a therapist and supervising new interns.” We are very grateful for his gifts, his perseverance, and his commitment to helping those who experienced trauma find resolution and renewed life. We honor his vitality, and wish for peace for him.
