Kim Pia

Marriage & Family Therapist Trainee

I come to counseling as a third career. As a survivor of the corporate grind, I believe that people begin to thrive when we are in safe and meaningful connection with others. My work is deeply person-centered and rooted in liberation psychology and bodily autonomy. I draw inspiration from many different theoretical orientations including Psychodynamic and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. As a yoga teacher of 9 years, I also incorporate grounding skills and somatic awareness into my work. I believe that the process of becoming a therapist never really ends, and I am overjoyed and grateful to be on this journey.

In my free time I enjoy running, dancing, obsessing over interior design, and watching too much TV with my partner and my cat.
