Daniel McCormick
Marriage & Family Therapist Trainee
My name is Daniel McCormick, and I am an MFT Trainee and Masters student at Sonoma State University. My theoretical orientation is derived from person-centered, narrative therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment for clients from diverse backgrounds to explore and gain insight into themselves. I aim to empower clients to take action to move closer to their ideal selves. The stories we tell ourselves shape our reality, and my work is about helping you retell your story in a way that more closely aligns with your true self. I believe stories have power, and learning how to take control of your own story can be a transformative and empowering experience. My professional background includes working with co-occurring substance use and mental health issues in residential settings. I am open to working with a wide range of clients and issues.
