Allison Ferrari
Marriage & Family Therapist Trainee
Hi! My name is Allison Ferrari (she/her), I am a therapist trainee working towards my master’s degree. Before returning to school to become a therapist I worked with neurodivergent individuals and those with intellectual and physical disabilities, and before that as a first responder. Before coming to Lomi I provided therapy to students at Santa Rosa Junior College in the Student Psychological Services department.
I believe that profound opportunities for healing, growth, and insight exist within a therapeutic relationship that is based in compassion, acceptance, and respect for your individuality and experiences. I utilize a holistic, trauma-informed approach that draws on Internal Family Systems, Humanistic-Existential, and Person-Centered models of therapy. I see this work as a collaborative process between client and clinician, and find value in remaining client-centered as we explore the individual, family/relational, generational, cultural, and societal influences that can inform life experiences and the meaning made from them. I also believe in cultivating self-compassion and curiosity as the process unfolds, and consider it an honor to walk alongside you on this phase of your journey.
In my free time I enjoy going to concerts and music festivals, camping and exploring the beauty of the natural world, traveling, reading, and spending time with friends, family, and my two cats.
