Tani Polansky
Clinical Psychology PhD Candidate
Tani Polansky is a PhD candidate at Palo Alto University, focusing his dissertation on religious coping, antisemitism, and religious trauma. He holds a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University, a Certificate in Pastoral Counseling from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, and is currently pursuing Rabbinic Ordination at Yeshiva University. He has received clinical training at La Selva and the Gronowski Center, specializing in somatic psychotherapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy, and integrating Acceptance and Compassion focused approaches, DBT, CPT, Hakomi, and IFS. Tani is currently pursuing certification in biofeedback, Reichian psychotherapy, and imago couples counseling. As a graduate student researcher at Palo Alto University's Early Intervention Clinic, Tani conducts therapy with recent trauma survivors and contributes to trauma intervention research. His clinical focus is on promoting holistic well-being through an integrated approach that addresses psychological, neurological, physical, relational, and spiritual health, as well as personal meaning and purpose. Tani finds joy in writing, producing, and performing music, as well as in his work in community education. He loves to travel, to write, and is a passionate lover of "glamping". He values the ongoing journey of growth and learning in his role as a developing clinician.
